Abstract

839,217. Stackable trays. HAIMES, G. F. Oct. 24, 1958 [Sept. 14, 1957], No. 28991/57. Classes 18 and 66. A confectionery tray is provided with recesses d and projections e on the upper edge of the side walls a and which are in vertical alignment with projections f and recesses g respectively on the underside of the tray. The trays can be stacked with an upper tray inverted upon an upright lower tray or all the trays in upright or inverted positions with projections and recesses in adjacent trays locking against displacement. The trays are constructed from fibre glass reinforced plastic with a timber or metal frame and the floor may be roughened or ribbed to hold the contents. Drain holes may be provided and protective shields fitted to the corners. A side a or end b of the tray may be furnished with holder means for the insertion of cards bearing information.
