Abstract

955,696. Swash plate pumps and motors. COUNCIL FOR SCIENTIFIC & INDUSTRIAL RESEARCH. Dec. 23, 1960 [Jan. 1, 1960], No. 24/60. Addition to 893,848. Heading F1A. A swash plate pump or motor as in the parent Specification has a rotatable shaft 6 integral with a cylinder block 8, which contains pistons 11 under the control of a tiltable swash plate 12 and has ports 19 co-operating with ports 20, 21 in a stationary end plate 2. The shaft is journalled in a bearing 4 in an end plate 1 and, preferably, the cylinder block has an internal sleeve bearing 5 in which is journalled a spigot 5a integral with the end plate 2. A port plate 22 has a lubricating oil film provided on each flat face as in the parent Specification.
