Abstract

A dyestuff consisting of the mixed 1 : 2 chromium complex of 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-(21 - hydroxy - 51 - nitrophenylazo) - 5 - pyrazolone and 1-(41-acryloyl-aminophenyl)-3-methyl-4 - (21 - hydroxy - 51 - sulphophenylazo) - 5 - pyrazolone may be obtained by reacting 1 - (41 - acryloylaminophenyl) - 3 - methyl - 4 - (21 - hydroxy - 51 - sulphophenylazo) - 5 - pyrazo lone with the 1 : 1-chromium complex of 1 - phenyl - 3 - methyl - 4 - (21 - hydroxy - 51 - nitrophenylazo) - 5 - pyrazolone. Specifications 380,851, 787,986, 876,718, 899,714, 902,020, 906,806, 910,222, 913,517, 939,247, 938,859 and 947,647 are referred to.ALSO:Woollen textile materials are dyed with an aqueous solution containing (a) a 1:2-chromium or cobalt complex of an azo dyestuff which contains not more than one sulphonic acid group or non-chelated carboxylic acid group, or a salt thereof, and which also contains a halogen atom or a group which will react with the woollen material to form a chemical bond therewith, (b) an anionic surface active agent, and (c) a condensate of ethylene oxide with an aliphatic amine.
