951,366. Dynamo-electric machines. GENERAL MOTORS CORPORATION. Sept. 12, 1962 [Sept. 21, 1961], No. 34888/62. Heading H2A. A dynamo-electric machine, e.g. alternator, comprises a semi-conductor diode rectifier network 54, 74 &c., a pair of brushes 100, 102, and a pair of terminals 130, 132 insulated from a frame assembly 10, 12 and respectively connected to a junction of the network and one of the brushes. Terminal studs 68, 70 convey the D.C. output from the Y-connected stator winding 18, and the field is provided by a winding 46 energized via slip rings 48, 50 and the brushes. The field has interdigitated poles 38a, 40a. Specifications 840,306 and 951,365 are referred to.
