Abstract

950,002. Boxes. ALLARD & FILS. April 28, 1961 [April 30, 1960; April 21, 1961], No. 15482/61. Heading B8P. A cardboard or like tray for fruit &c. is made from a blank, as shown in Fig. 1, cut and folded so that the panels 4a, 4b form double thickness walls presenting slots 12 at their upper edges, the panel 5 forming an outer wall 5a with a central portion 10 folded towards the interior, and two wings 11 which when folded constitute corner reinforcements and have depending tongues 11a which engage in the slots 12. In a modification, to facilitate stacking (see Fig. 5), flaps 4<SP>1</SP>a, 4<SP>1</SP>b are formed with tenons 14 which pass through slots 15 in the upper surface between lines 9, 9<SP>1</SP>. The tenons 14, when in stacked position, engage with windows formed in the walls 5a of an upper tray. Side walls 4b may be kept in position by tongues 18 engaging n slots 17 of the base 1. The inner wall is modified as illustrated.
