[Also in Division F2] In a web-feeding mechanism for a manifolding machine, a shaft 102, carrying pinwheels 100, is driven from a platen shaft 101 through gears 104, 105, 106, the intermediate gear 105 being rotatable on a cross-shaft 108 which is supported in guide slots 109 in side plates 110, 111 and by swinging links 112 interconnecting the shafts 102 and 108. Adjustment of the shaft 102 is effected by screws 116 acting on bearing blocks 117 which are slidable in guideways 118 in the machine side plates, the screws 116 being rotatable by bevel gears 119 from a common transverse manuallyrotatable spindle 120. A thumb-screw 114 is provided for locking the cross-shaft 108 in position. Specifications 885,688 and 941,881 are referred to.
