997,752. Change-speed gear. GRAPHA MASCHINENFABRIK HANS MULLER A.G. Feb. 11, 1964 [April 11, 1963], No. 5651/64. Heading F2D. [Also in Division B6] A change-speed gear comprises a drive shaft 13, a gear 4 fast with the shaft and an output gear 6 loosely mounted on said shaft. The gears 4, 6 each have two sets of teeth 41, 42, and 60, 61, respectively. A housing 50 carrying two freely rotatable gears 51, 52 is pivotable about an axis parallel to the shaft 13. Thus, the housing may be pivoted between a first position wherein the gears 4, 52 and 6 engage, a second position wherein the gears 4, 51 and 6 engage, and an intermediate position wherein the drive is disconnected from the feeder. The two gear trains are in the ratio 1 : 2.
