Abstract

948,332. Reciprocating pumps. RICHARD SUTCLIFFE Ltd., and L. BAINES. May 9, 1960 [Feb. 10, 1959], No. 4655/59. Heading F1A. Motor pistons 14, 16 are secured to a pump piston 15 by a crosshead 17. The annular areas of pistons 14, 16 are connected to the output of a pump 1 and the full areas to the pump 1 via a reversing valve 6 controlled by a pilot valve 7. The piston 15 draws liquid from a reservoir 23 and delivers it to an outlet 26 the annular and full area cylinder spaces being inter-connected by the valve 24 to give constant output on each stroke.
