Abstract

947,361. Roof structures for temporary buildings. A. PHILLIPS. March 8, 1962 [March 8, 1961], No. 85l3/61 Heading E1V. A roof structure for a temporary building or shelter comprises spaced pairs of structural members 1 extending upwardly and towards each other, each member being attached, at its lower outward end to a pair of vertical scaffolding members 6, 7 by two swivel couplings 4, 5 spaced in a longitudinal direction of the member, and covering panels 10 overlying and attached to said structural members, the panels 13 along the apex of the roof being permanently hinged together. The structural members 1, which are preferably made of aluminium or aluminium alloy, are spaced apart and joined together by a link 3, which includes two hinge joints to permit the angle of inclination, and thereby the span, of the structural members to be altered without disconnecting the link. The panels are secured by clamps 11.
