Abstract

1313155 Collapsible framework tents SHERBURN DESIGN Ltd 26 Oct 1971 [29 Oct 1970] 51439/70 Heading E1A A collapsible framework for a tent, market stall or for attachment to a caravan is of pivoted U-frame construction with the central frame consisting of two spring-loaded telescopic portions 2, 4 attached to the end frames 12, 13 by pivotal stays 16, 17. In a modification, Figs. 6 and 7 (not shown), the stays are pivoted to the ends of the end frames and an intermediate U-frame is pivoted to the central frame to support the roof of the tent. A marquee may be made up from a serie of interconnected frames, see Fig. 8 (not shown) and the frames may be made of light steel, aluminium or plastics tubing.
