Abstract
814,825. Tent frames. LIDEN, O. G. A. June 29, 1956 [June 29, 1955], No. 20300/56. Class 20(1) A collapsible tent structure comprises rafter frames 15, Fig. 1 each pin &c. jointed on a pair of spaced legs 1 and held in position by their own weight and by the weight of the cover. The frames are then held apart by eaves tubes 4 fitting into sockets in the hinge fittings 2a 2b and by ridge-tubes 12, 17, 12 with pins 13 fitting into holes in projections 14 on the rafter frames. Different rafter frames are in Figs. 2, 3 and 5 (not shown). Corner and cross bracing (19 and 20 Fig. 3, not shown) may be provided. A washer 23, Fig. 4 prevents the lugs 1 from sinking too far in the ground. The tent cover can be unrolled from one end over the whole frame instead of pulling on. Two tents at right angles may be joined together by cover frames (Figs. 6 and 7, not shown) or three tents may be combined (Fig. 9 not shown). Fig 11 shows ridge parts which grip the roof covering 35 between them and all secured by pulling on a closure rops 40 (Fig. 13, not shown), Fig. 16 shows a section of a window 48 and the method of fixing its frame in the fabric.
