Abstract

1,058,145. Temporary buildings for sheltering workmen. KWIKFORM Ltd. May 10, 1965 [March 20, 1964; Oct. 9, 1964], Nos. 11818/64 and 41184/64. Heading E1A. A temporary building structure for workmen comprises a series of roof trusses 11 which have curved corrugated roofing panels releasably clamped thereto and are supported at their ends to bearers 23 mounted on scaffolding 12, each truss having a flat bottom channelsection base member, an upper span and interconnecting lattice bracing. Each truss may consist of two sections interconnected by spigot-and-socket engagement, bolted flange connections or by means of connectors 53, each section incorporating channel-section members, tubular members and angle sections welded together as necessary. The roofing panels may be made of corrugated iron and be provided along one curved lateral edge with a strip metal tie for attachment purposes, see Fig. 13 (not shown). The scaffolding may support a covering of flexible, transparent plastics material and be held in position by ground anchors. For additional minor details concerning the make-up of the trusses, attachment of the roof panels &c. the Specification and remaining drawings (not shown) should be referred to.
