Abstract

The shelter for use on building sites is assembled from frames interconnected by e.g. spigots and sockets and having adjustable feet and ground anchors 13. The canvas cover may be wound onto a roller. <IMAGE>

Description

ALL WEhT8ER w-JCHKER This invention relates to a self assembly shelter for outdoor working.
The frame can be easily brought to site on the back of a builder's truck, and then easily carried to the work area.
Outdoor work often has to stop when it rains of snows. The shelter is large enough to cover most small site building areas, the frame being 3.66 metres by 3.66 metres.
This light aluminium frame can bE quickly erected over the work area.
The canvas sheet is pulled into place, and thus a sturdy shelter for outdoor work is provided.
Erection details of the All Weather Worker as follows: Sheet 1 shows in perspective the All Weather Worker when erected.
Sheet 2 shows the frame separated into all 9 main sections.
Sheets 3, 4 and 5 show in larger cetail how the main sections link together.
The frame and bar sections are made of 63mm. diameter aluminium made into the shapes as indicated.
The bar with canvas combined together with winding handle is slotted into the top of frame section 4 see sheet 5/5 arrowed 8.
Sections 1, 2, 3 & 4 (sheet 2/5) are slotted together as indicated on sheet 3/5.
Bars 5 and 6, with notches at the top, are then laid and secured into position by spring clips (sheet 4/5) on the top of frame 3 and bar B.
There being 15Qm,-r.-fall from bar 8 tc the top of frame 3.
Frame section 7 is the located in position over the notches on bars 5 and 6, see sheet 3/5 arrowed 7. This is to ensure the frame is squared and has diagonal support.
The location pin on the winding handle at the end of bar 8 is then removed and the canvas sheet is pulled over the top of framEs 7 and 3 and down to ground level, bar 9 being slotted through the canvas sheet and secured to the legs of frame 1 and 2 by spring clips.
Leather straps on the side of the canvas sheet are tied in position over poles 5 and 6.
The location pin is then relocated into the hole in the winding wheel and the hole in frame 4 (see sheet 5/5 arrowed 11).
The four feet of frames 1 and 2 are then adjusted to allow for slope (see sheet 4/5 arrowed 12). Fcr additional frame security metal pins with hooked tops are then secured into the ground from the base of frames 1 and 2.
To take the frame down, reverse the above procedure. If it is required to re-positicn the frame, then, due to its lightness, it can easily be moved by two men.
