Abstract
940,623. Tractor power-lift linkage. C. VAN DER LELY N.V. Feb. 26, 1960 [March 26, 1959], No. 11550/63. Divided out of 940,622. Heading A1P. In a tractor-implement combination wherein the implement is mounted on power-operated hitch-links 34A, 34B, means are provided to limit the downward movement of the links, the means comprising a bracket 49 and a chain 48, the bracket being pivoted about the line joining the rear ends of the lower hitch-links and the chain being connected between the bracket and a point on the upper link near the tractor end thereof. The implement is the haymaking machine described in Specification 940,622 and includes an inverted T-shaped frame 33 having pins 51A on the horizontal limb to receive the links 34A and provide a pivot-axis for the bracket 49. The chain is hooked on to a ring 48A encircling the link 34B and engaging notches 48B therein. When not in use, the bracket can be swung down into the dotted position 49A (Fig. 2) and may then be used to form a strut to support the implement when detached from the hitchlinks, the chain being connected, alternatively, to a ring 48C.
