Abstract

990,036. Agricultural implements. C. VAN DER LELY N.V. Feb. 19, 1962 [March 24, 1961], No. 6356/62. Heading A1B. An implement comprises frames 1, 61 provided with tines 1A, 61A, each frame being arranged to perform an irregular oscillatory motion about a substantially vertical axis. Each frame is provided with a pin 2 pivotally mounted in an eye 3 in a frame member 4, 38 or 62. As shown in Fig. 2 the member 4 is pivotally attached to a transverse bar attached to the lower links 6 of the tractor, a member 11 being attached to the upper link 14 and restrained by springs 21. A link 33 may be raised to hold the member 11 rigid when the implement is being raised. The front of the frame 1 is restrained by springs 23 and chains 28. As shown in Fig. 9 a number of frames 61 are provided and each frame is pivoted on a member 62 pivoted on a cross-member 63 attached by links 76, 77 to a structure 75 attached to the tractor links 83, 84. The members 62 are restrained by springs 88 which bear against a member 82 of the structure 75. In a modification the structure 75 is modified so that the links 76, 77 are attached direct to the member 78 and in Fig. 7 (not shown) springs 48 are situated on each side of the frame member 38.
