A haymaking machine comprises a frame carrying rake-wheels and includes a main beam 15 having a longitudinal slot 16 (Fig. 4) therealong and two subsidiary beams 7, 11, each subsidiary beam carrying a group of at least two rake-wheels and being provided with a laterally-projecting part 17, 18 which engages in the slot in the main beam and co-operates with members 19-23 thereon to lock the subsidiary beam in various lateral positions of adjustment. The rake-wheels 1-4 are carried on the ends of J-shaped beams 5, 9 pivoted by means of stub-shafts 6, 10 on the beams 7, 11. The stub-shafts and the beams 7, 11 each have integral collars such as 37, 39 (Fig. 4) and with mating notches 39A, 45 engageable by a latch such as 40 to hold the beams in position; one of the notches is larger than the other to permit some freedom of movement in overcoming ground irregularities. The same arrangement applies between a stub-shaft 31 on the beam 15 and the part 33 of the frame which is carried on the draft-linkage 34A, 34B. This part comprises an inverted T-shaped part connected to the draft-linkage and a flat platform 33F rotatable about a vertical axis and lockable to the first part by a pin 33H. Springs 33A suspend the beam 15 from the upper end of the T-shaped part. The laterally-projecting parts 17, 18 on the beams 7, 11 consist of flat keys which extend between pairs of lugs 19-23 on the beam 15 and are locked to them by bolts passing through aligned holes. By inverting the beam 15 about the stub-shaft 31 and inverting the beams 5, 9 about their stub-shafts 6, 10 the device may be brought into the position shown in Fig. 6, for swath-turning.
