Abstract

887,805. Shovelling machines. LILJEQUIST, A. H. March 1, 1960 [March 5, 1959], No. 7290/60. Class 68(1). In a shovelling machine the scoop 18, pivotally connected at 19 to a vertically swing- able arm 16, is also pivotally connected by a link 26 to a lever 24, pivoted at 25 between the ends thereof to the arm 16. A ram 29 is connected at 31 to a boom structure 12, and at 30 to the lever 24 at 30, whilst a further ram 32 is coupled at 27 to the lever 24, and at 33 to a quadrant 34 pivoted to a boom 12 at 17, and at 36 to a link 35 pivoted at 22 to part 23 of a tractor-mounted frame 11 carrying the boom 12. The ram 25 is used to control vertical movement of the arm 16 and the ram 32 to control pivotal movement of the scoop 18 relative to the arm. A ram 21 controls vertical swinging of the boom 12.
