Abstract

859,920. Earth working equipment. CARY, J. Dec. 2, 1957 [Dec. 10, 1956], No. 37455/57. Class 68(1). [Also in Group XXX] A shovel provided with a scraper 30, Fig 11, is pivoted by means of a link 33 and : hydraulic ram 34 to a head which replaces the tree-felling head 14 shown in Fig. (see Group XXX). The head is pivotally supported by rams 9, 10 which are pivote( about horizontal axes an collars on a vertical shaft 6 carried by a frame 1 secured to a tractor. The head is raised by a linkage 16, 18 and a ram 11 pivoted on the shaft 6 and is slewed by a ram 20. In a modifica tion, the head is replaced by the scrape shown in Fig. 12.
