[Also in Group XXIV] The ductor roller 15 of the inking-apparatus of a printing-machine is rotated intermittently in steps of amplitude adjustable between 0 and 90 degrees, from the continuously rotating drive crank 1 of the machine, by means of a linkage comprising a crank-pin 1<SP>1</SP>, a link 2 connected to the pin and connected at 5 to a rocker 3 pivoted at 4, a link 6 connected at 5 to the rocker 3 and at 9 to a rocker 7 pivoted at 8, and a link 10 connected at 9 to the rocker 7 and at 12 to a lever 14 rotating the roller 13 in one direction and free-wheeling in the other direction. The pivot 8 is carried at the circumference of an arcuate toothed member 17, pivoted at 16 and rotated by a hand-wheel operatively connected to a pinion 21, the movement of the pivot 8 along an arcuate path serving to adjust the angular amplitude. The crank 1 can be located anywhere in the area 19.
