Abstract

305,213. Maschinenfabrik Augsburg- N³rnberg Akt.-Ges. Feb. 3, 1928, [Convention date]. Sheet-carriers; gripper mechanism.-The oscillating movement of the feeding-grippers of a tworevolution printing-machine is effected by means of a roller engaged successively by two cams, the first a two-revolution cam and the second a one-revolution cam, preferably mounted respectively fast and loose on the shaft of the impression cylinder; the opening and closing movements of the grippers are effected by a cam oscillating about the spindle of the oscillating gripper arms. In the arrangement shown, the spindle p is oscillated by means of a spring-pressed lever o connected by a rod n and link m to a lever i pivoted at the end k and carrying a roller h co-operating with a cam a fast on the shaft of the impression cylinder and a second cam b loose on the shaft and rotated by gearing c, d, f, g at half the speed of the shaft. A cam t for opening and closing the grippers is oscillated about the spindle p into the positions y, y' through linkage, x, w from a one-revolution cam v attached to the gear d.
