Platen machines.-Relates to hand stamps of the kind described in Specification 2814/57, [Class 101, Printing other than letterpress &c.], in which the stamp is carried by parallel arms g provided with cranks a connected by a link c, and is adapted to swing over in parallel planes to and from an ink-pad h and platen k. The link c is made releasable, being secured to the pivot b of the upper crank by means of a snap fastening consisting of a spring-pressed ball d whereby, when in the mid-position, the stamp may be turned up as shown in Fig. 2, to allow the die to be changed. In the released position the link c rests on a support f.
