[Also in Group I] A seat has a lever mechanism 12 mounted on the seat frame 10 and connected with the seat 13 and with springs 18, the springs acting to operate the lever mechanism 12 in such a way that its movement acts to urge the rear part of the seat upwards about a hinged mounting 14, disengageable means being provided for locking the seat in its normal lowered position. A handle 20 is mounted for operation by a seated person and is connected with a catch 24 so that movement of the handle disengages the catch from the seat frame 10a and releases the seat.
