931,173. Convertible chairs. E. COOKEYARBOROUGH. May 2, 1962 [May 2, 1961], No. 15774/61. Class 52 (2). A chair comprises a seat 1, a frame structure 2 and a panel 5 pivotally mounted on back members 4 of the frame structure for swinging movement through an arc of approximately 270 degrees between a vertical position, where it serves as a back support and a horizontal position overhanging the chair seat, bracket arms 6 being provided for supporting the panel in its horizontal position, the arms 6 being provided with lugs 12 to limit the swinging movement of the panel.
