934,718. Printing-machines. E. A. TIMSON. Nov. 23, 1960 [Dec. 21, 1959], No. 43329/59. Class 100 (2). A rotary printing-machine cylinder 1 of the kind carrying a flexible type-plate, a blanket, or a tympan 2 is constructed with a slot-like aperture 4 leading into a longitudinal channel 3 and a pair of anchoring bars 5 attached to the ends of the flexible sheet 2 and a locking bar 6 slidable between the anchoring bars extend into the aperture 4 and means are located in the channel 3 to move the bar 6 either radially inwardly so that its shoulders 6b contact the bars 5 and lock them in the aperture 4 or outwardly to release the bars 5 for removal from the aperture. The bar 6 is moved by rotation of a shaft 9 carrying a plurality of springs 7, the free ends 7a of which engage slots 8 in the bar 6.
