1,205,533. Printing apparatus. SCHNELLPRESSENFABRIK KOENIG & BAUER A.G. 11 Feb., 1969 [15 Feb., 1968], No. 7402/69. Heading B6C. Flexible printing plates 2, 4 have crimped ends and are held and tensioned on plate cylinder 1 by jaws 21, 22, 41, 42, which engage the crimped ends and press them against resilient members 23, 24, 43, 44. The resilient members are backed by bars 25, 45, integral with cylinder 1, and jaws, bars and resilient members all extend parallel to the axis of cylinder 1. Preferably half the jaws are spring-loaded and the others screw-adjusted, in each case by way of levers. The resilient members 23, 24, 43, 44 may be cylindrical.
