[Also in Group XVII] In a machine for compressing and banding a stack of paper articles or the like (see Group XVII), the wrapper 67 is fed from a supply roll (not shown) through rollers 66 and cut by a blade 64 to the required length by means of a measuring wheel 69. The wheel is adjustable along a sloping surface 68 of one roller 66 so as to vary the wrapper length forwarded and cut.
