683,766. Cutting webs MACHINES AUTOMATIQUES BARDET. May 12, 1949. [Aug. 10, 1948] No. 12658/49. Class 31 (i). [Also in Groups XVI and XVII] In a wrapping-machine (Group XVII) a web of paper fed from a roll 80 over idler rollers 82, a continuously driven friction feed roller 81 and an intermittently driven friction feed roller 83 is cut by a guillotine 85, raised and lowered by link means 157 operated by a continuously driven cam 156 so as to cut the web when the feed roller 83 has stopped the feed. The cut sheet is withdrawn transversely by intermittently actuated rollers 84, 84a.
