Abstract

924,633. Assemblies for telecommunications. DATUM METAL PRODUCTS Ltd. Nov. 3, 1961 [Aug. 5, 1960], No. 27218/60. Class 37. A chassis for housing electrical equipment comprises upper and lower rectangular frames 3 each made of channel members with the flanges extending inwardly of the frame. The two frames are spaced by a dished plate 4 attached to the channel members by side walls 4A, 4B and from members 3 of angle section attached at 5B to the channel members one flange of each member extending sideways at 5A to provide mounting surfaces for a front panel 11 provided with handles 10. The sides of the chassis are closed by panels 6 with flanges 6A 6B which may be pivoted about screws 7 to allow access to equipment in the chassis but are normally held in position by clips 8. Fig. 1 shows the chassis mounted in a console, members 14 being provided for attachment by plate 15 to telescopic runners 2.
