[Also in Division F2] Shock-absorbent mountings for exchange &c. equipment including one or more rows of cabinets or racks 1, 1<SP>1</SP>, comprises upper and lower end sets of resilient members, each set comprising a plurality of resilient members, such as rubber buffers 5, 5<SP>1</SP>, disposed obliquely relative to the cabinets or racks. As shown, each set comprises four buffers 5, 5<SP>1</SP> fixed by angle brackets 9 to the floor 11 or ceiling 10, and by members 8, of truncated pyramid shape, to lower and upper cabinet support frames 2, 3. Distance pieces 12 may be interposed between the ceiling 10 and upper angle brackets 9. A cable-accommodating girder 7 has a resilient portion 6 between the cabinets and the wall 13 of the room or vehicle in which they are situated.
