Abstract

878,647. Supporting bus-bars. WALKER & CO. (ENGINEERS) Ltd., W. G. March 8, 1960 [March 12, 1959], No. 8632/59. Class 36. An arrangement for supporting various widths of bus-bar consists of a metal trough 1 having at intervals pairs of pedestals, such as 2, carrying two transverse insulating bars 3, 7, bar 3 being fixed to the pedestal by screws 8, whereas bar 7 is adjustable. Choice of location of screws 9 in holes 6, spaced at intervals equal to bar-width increments, varies the distance between the insulating bars and so allows accommodation of bus-bars 5 of differing widths in slots 4. Plate 10 bridges the tops of the pedestals and cover 13 encloses the trough.
