Abstract

767,571. Terminal boards. ASTRAL SWITCHGEAR, Ltd. May 26, 1955 [May 27, 1954], No. 15728/54. Class 38 (1). T - shaped terminal blocks 1, each carrying a pair of terminals 7 interconnected by a link 5, are supported on parallel bars 2 with the vertical legs of the blocks fitting between the bars and are secured in position by interposed insulating barrier-plates 9 threaded on the bars and having lateral projections 12 which overlie the. blocks. Inverted U-shaped brackets 15 secured at the ends of the bars have central holes 20 for screws by means of which the assembly may be attached to a support. The bars fit in slots in the ends of the brackets and may be freed for removal together with the terminal blocks by rotating the brackets through 90 degrees. A number of blocks and barrier-plates are held in assembled relation on the bars between one of these end brackets and a third similar bracket. A transparent shield 21 for the terminals may be secured to a spaced pair of barrier-plates and may carry a circuit identification strip.
