A carton of cardboard corrugated paper or synthetic resin has top flaps e each carrying an extension h that forms a central portion in the carton and rests in contact with the bottom thereby supporting each top flap. The carton may be formed from one or two blanks, the ends being formed of further blanks. Ventilating holes and hand holes are provided. The several blanks may be stitched or stuck together.
