Abstract

1,004,973. Cartons. A. MICHELS. March 9, 1964 [March 8, 1963], No. 9811/64. Heading B8P. A cardboard carton 1 is provided with a tear strip 6 in its upper end flap 3 designed so that, when removed, it leaves a tongue 10 which may be tucked under a recessed part in the lower flap 4 to re-close the carton. The strip 6 may be bounded by a series of pairs of straight, curved or zig-zag lines, Fig. 5 (not shown), incised separately in the flap. The flap 3 is glued to the flap 4, bellows folds 2, Fig. 3, being formed from the carton material extending upwards from the end walls 13. The carton ends may be stapled.
