Abstract
923,121. Valves. QUALTER, HALL & CO. (SALES) Ltd. May 19, 1960 [June 3, 1959], No. 19011/59. Class 135. A fluid control valve comprises a sectionally constructed valve body formed, e.g. by an end block B for a valve-operating lever 15, 16, 17, an opposite end block C containing a valve centralizing spring 18 and a central block A built up of upper and lower plates 1, 2 with interposed spacing blocks 3, having an inlet 6 and at least one outlet 9, 10 and one exhaust 7, 8, and a rectangular sectioned valve 5 ported at 11, 12 for co-operation with the inlet, outlet and exhaust and sliding between the plates 1, 2. The inlet and outlets are provided with filters 20. The valve member is balanced with respect to inlet pressure by the provision of valve passage 13 and body pressure-balancing chamber 14.
