919,611. Buttons. HOLMAN, M. S. June 8, 1960 [June 18, 1959], No. 20930/59. Class 43. A removable button comprises, as a single member, a head 1, a resilient flexible shank 3 of flat strip form and a retaining arm 2 extending transversely of the end of the shank, the retaining arm having a first portion which projects to one side of the shank and is substantially the length of the shank and a second portion which projects to the opposite side of the shank and is at least equal to the length of the first portion. The button is attached by passing one portion of the retaining arm through a button-hole the cord of the other portion engaging under a projection 6 or in a groove in the button head by flexing the shank the end of the retaining arm is released so that the head is on one side of the button hole and the retaining arm on the other side. The rear surface of the head may be dished. The button may be formed as a onepiece moulding of a synthetic resin material.
