Abstract

821,902 Stud-fastenings. PLUMMER, A. July 10, 1957, No. 21834/57. Class 44 A stud-fastening 11, produced as a onepiece moulding of, for example, nylon, polystyrene, polythene, or polyvinylchloride, comprises a button head 12 from which projects a pin having two limbs 15, 16 provided, on the outer surface thereof, with serrations 19, 23 and 20, 24 respectively, the limbs being separated by a slot 17 terminating in an end 18 of circulacross-section. The stud-fastening 11 may be used to attach a trim pad 30 to a shelfpanel 31 of a vehicle, the assembly being covered by padding 34 and by an outer layer of leather cloth 35. In a modification, the limbs 15, 16 are offset from each other on each side of a transverse centre line to increase the strength of the fastening.
