Abstract

951,000. Stud and socket fastenings. C. MARCKMAN-HANSEN. Feb. 5, 1962, No. 4396/62. Heading E2B. A snap fastener comprises a male part and a female part both of which parts are made of a resilient plastics material, a bulbous head 10 on the front face of the male part, a blind cavity 6 in the female part, the blind cavity 6 having its mouth 7 on the front face of the female part and being adapted to receive the bulbous head 10 of the male part with snap action, and a peripheral flange 12 and 4 on each of the male and female parts, the peripheral flange and the rear face of each of the two parts being so provided that a flexible sheet 13 and 3 can readily be brought into contact with the whole of the rear face of each of the two parts. Decorative designs may be formed on the parts of the sheet covering the male and female parts.
