Abstract

842,770. Studs, buttons. BAY, J. L. Dec. 30, 1958 [Jan. 6, 1958], No. 418/58. Class 43 A button or stud comprises a head 3 having a waist 4, and a base 5 with a pointed ribbed stem 6 which engages in grooves in a hole in a resilient disc 11. The upper surface of the base 5 may be convex and the lower surface concave. The stem pierces the material 16 and the disc is pushed on to the stem to clamp the material between the base and the disc. The stem is cut off level with the lower surface of the disc.
