829,386. Buttons. WILCOX, N. T. W., and WHEELER, L. R. May 9, 1958 [Dec. 31, 1957], No. 40385/57. Class 43 In a button of the type in which a head 1 is secured to the shank 6 of a base 5 by a snap action after the shank has been forced through the material, the shank fits into a hole 3 in the head and the shank and head have a complementary interfitting annual recess 9 and annual rim 4. The recess may either be on the: shank or on the head. The button is made from resilient plastics material. The hole 3 may pass completely through the button head and the shank may have a flat or domed head 10 instead of the pointed head 7. The head may have a number of holes 3 for use with a number of separate bases 5 or with a single base, with a plurality of shanks.
