842,779. Buttons; studs. BAY, J. L. Jan. 29, 1959 [Jan. 30, 1958], No. 3132/58. Class 43 A button or stud comprises a disc or washer I with a ribbed resilient spigot 11 which engages in a socket 6 in a base 5 of a head 3 having a waist 4, the mouth 7 of the socket tapering to an enlargement 7a in the waist and a rib on the spigot engaging behind the shoulder formed in the socket. The lower surface of the base may be concave and the upper surface convex. The spigot is pushed through the material which is clamped between the disc and base.
