919,129. Cable slips of Koepe winding pulleys. SOC. GENERALE DE CONSTRUCTIONS ELECTRIQUES ET MECANIQUES ALSTHOM. June 17, 1959 [July 8, 1958], No. 20796/59. Class 78 (5). A Koepe pulley (not shown) drives shaft 1 which via differential gear 2 drives control shaft 3 which drives the Lilly control for controlling the mine cage. Shaft 3 also drives crown wheel 9 of the differential gear 2, the drive being transmitted thereto via worm 4, worm-wheel 5, crank pin 6, slotted guide 7, rack 8, gear 10 and gear 11, to form a device for compensating for slip of the cable around the pulley or for wear of the perimeter of the pulley. This compensation is effected by manually or automatically adjusting the radial position of pin 6 on worm-wheel 5 whenever wear takes place.
