777,963. Hoists; load-handling machines. CAMPBELL & ISHERWOOD, Ltd., and RAWLINSON, R. July 22, 1955 [July 30, 1954], No. 22241/54. Classes 78 (2) and 78 (3). A hoist comprises a motor 10, a beam 12, a pulley block 13 fixed at one end of said beam, a pulley block 15 movable along said beam when driven by said motor, a cable 25 reeved between said blocks whereby the movable block is traversed along the beam to lift or lower the load block 26. The beam 12 may be either fixed or mounted on rollers, and the motor which displaces block 15 by means of screw 16 may be replaced by a manual drive.
