917,993. Clamps. WEINHOLD, K., [trading as FIRMA DRUCKLUFT-BEDARF DIPL. ING. K. WEINHOLD]. Feb. 22, 1961 [Feb. 23, 1960; Dec. 13, 1960], No. 6552/61. Class 44. [Also in Group XXVIII] A clamp for a hose coupling (see Group XXVIII) comprises a part 1 formed of two U-shaped laminµ 2, 3 secured together by bolts 4, 5, and pivotably connected thereto, a second U-shaped half 6 of U-shaped crosssection, a clamping lever 7 being arranged to swing about the bolt 5 on which lever a tension leaf-spring 9 is mounted by a bolt 8. The clamp is closed by hooking the hookshaped end 10 of the spring 9 into the square shaped aperture 11 of the part 6 and pressing down the lever 7. The clamp is held suspended from a rod 16 pivoted between projections 13, 14. In modifications, an end of the spring 9 is pivoted on a bolt 5a, and the lever 7 is secured by a retaining hook embracing both the bolts 5, 5a to avoid unintended loosening of the clamp on breaking of the spring, or the lever 7 is secured in the closed position by a releasable yoke or pin.
