[Also in Division F2] A conduit coupling 10 comprises a shoulder member 34 disposed adjacent a terminal portion 26 of one of a pair of clamping elements, and a releasable connecting member 38 pivotally secured to an adjacent terminal portion of the other clamping element for swinging movement about an axis substantially parallel to the axis of the coupling, an arcuate bearing surface 54 being formed on the shoulder member 34 having an axis of curvature offset from the pivotal axis of the connecting member, and an adjustable device 46, 48 having a face complementary in curvature to the bearing surface of the shoulder member being provided on the connecting member 38 for tightening the clamping elements and for permitting quick release thereof. As shown, in which the coupling is used to couple conduits 66, 68 with the interposition of a sealing member 76, the clamping elements are of channel-like section and engage flanges 70, 74 formed or provided on the ends of the conduits. The adjustable device 46, 48 is in the form of a nut and washer, and the connecting member 38 is retained in the clamping position by means of a shear or locking pin 52. The coupling may comprise three or more pivotally or flexibly connected clamping elements.
