Abstract

1418017 Clamps CONSTRUCTION FORMS Inc 1 Dec 1972 55698/72 Heading E2B A clamp for joining pipes comprises a pair of sectors 4, 5, hinged at 9 and held closed by a toggle lever 10 pivoted at 20 to an adjustable link 17 pivoted on the sector 4, and having cam surfaces 26 engageable in abutment seatings 24 to produce an overcentre action. The lever 10 has a projection 28 which serves to maintain manipulation space 31, and which also is pierced to receive a locking pin 33. A closure gap as 14 accommodate the accidental intrusion of grit.
