Abstract

1,046,476. Clamps; stud and socket fastenings. H. M. FRECKLETON & CO. Ltd. and T. HEATH. Sept. 17, 1964 [Sept. 24, 1963], No. 37497/63. Heading E2B. A scaffolding or like clamp comprises a block 3 arranged to receive a plurality of rotatable pole receiving members 7 each having a pole receiving bore 8 therethrough, and means associated with each bore 8 whereby each pole can be rigidly locked within its bore. As shown each member 7 includes a projection 6 and is rotatably retained in the bore by a pair of screwed bolts 10. A scaffold tube 9 is retained in the bore 8 by a screwed pin 14 which intersects the bore 8 and is formed with an arcuate groove 15 which conforms to the curvature of the bore 8 the pin being rotated by a bolt 16 to engage an edge of the groove with the tube 9.
