Abstract

1,150,338. Cotters. F. MAURER. 7 March, 1967 [11 March, 1966], No. 10731/67. Heading F2H. [Also in Divisions E1-E2] A device for securing together prefabricated building components 1, 2 comprises connecting rings 3 anchored in the building components, a bar 6 adapted to be inserted through the rings and means 8-11 for wedging the bar in the connecting rings. The bar is initially inserted through the holes defined by the overlapping portions of the rings and then rotated through 90 degrees. The bar has a threaded stud portion 8 and wedge-shaped projections 7 so that on screwing the nut 9 down against the bearing member 11, the wedges bring the rings into alignment, thus drawing the components 1, 2 together. In a modification, the wedges are connected by a threaded stud so that their relative positions are adjustable.
