Abstract

1,040,834. Tables, stands, &c. M. PIGET. April 25, 1963 [April 25, 1962], No. 16411/63. Heading A4H. [Also in Divisions E1 and E2] Structural members, of which one is a channel, are connected by a clamping plate 5a having screws 4 adapted to be engaged in thes angle between the side 1 of the channel and the base 2 to force the plate against the other side 3 and secure it to the channel. Two channels 17, 18 are connected together by a clamping plate consisting of two arms at right angles each connected by screws 4 to one of the channels. Different channels and different ways of securing them with such a rightangle plate are shown. Channels may be connected by metal gussets clamped in each channel by a clamping plate, Fig. 11 (not shown). A sheet 15, Fig. 12, has a flange 19 clamped inside a channel 16 on the edge of another sheet by means of a plate 14 and screws 4.
