Abstract

<PICT:0917295/III/1> <PICT:0917295/III/2> A portable coating machine comprises a single transmission shaft 16 (Fig. 3) driven by an incorporated electric motor or by a remotely placed motor of any type connected by a flexible drive to a driving-tongue 15, the shaft 16 driving simultaneously two centrifugal projection rollers 10 and 11 (Fig. 4) which rotate in opposite directions with a gap between them, a screw conveyer for conveying coating material (e.g. mortar) from a container 4 to the said gap, means 28 and 51 for limiting the spray of coating material and acting as reclaimers, a component (e.g. the grid 45, which may carry a screen 46 (Fig. 7)) for regulating the supply of coating material, and means (e.g. a cover) enabling the machine to be operated in the vertical position. The transmission shaft 16 may drive the screw conveyer through a train of gears which may incorporate one or more clutches and speed-change mechanism. Each rotor may have an outer lining of flexible material provided with staggered rows of teeth; alternatively, the rotors may be covered with flexible material through slits in which the legs of T-shaped blades of wear- and oxidationresistant metal are inserted.
