Abstract

927,944. Mixing appliances; discharging. REDLER CONVEYORS Ltd. Jan. 12, 1962 [Oct. 14, 1960], No. 35336/60. Class 86. [Also in Group XXX] Material is agitated in hopper 1 by screw 4 which is jointed at 5 to shaft 3 driven by motor 6. Screw 4 is provided with a carriage 15 running on two gears 14 driven by gear 13 fixed on the shaft 11 of the screw. The gears 14 engage the upper part of the hopper shown and cause the screw to gyrate round the hopper. At the same time the screw discharges the material up the side of the hopper so that the material falls through the slot 16 formed in the hopper and falls down passageway 17 on to rotary conveyer 18 which is driven by motor 20 so as to discharge the material.
